Sarnath is a place which is believed to be the place where Gautham Buddha first taught the Dharma. The city is located near the convergence of river Ganges and river Varuna. This is one among the holy places for the Buddism followers.
The city is 12 km away from Varanasi. It takes around 45 – 50 mins to reach by road. There are many trains available to travel from Varanasi to Sarnath.
